This application was written on a whim when I couldn't find a small mail checker which did everything I wanted. v1.5 has a reminder notification for unread mail, better error log and a cancel option. Two versions for RAS enabled and non-RAS enabled computers. v1.6 includes a delete function.
Installation:
Installation is simple. Just unzip popmon.zip into the directory of your choice. You can then add a shortcut to the application (POPMONITOR.EXE) to your StartUp Group. Once the application is running, a right mouse button click on the icon in your System Tray will allow you to open the main window and configure the mail checker.
